Tech Tool

In 2019, Shreve Machine acquired Tech Tool, a 35-plus-year-old company that supplies plunger lift systems tailored to the gas and oil production industry. Our complete line of down-hole equipment, as well as accessories such as safety drips, risers, lubricators, meter runs, timer sensors and Kimray products fit every need. Plus, to best serve our customer, if there’s a need for a special application, we have the capability to engineer and manufacture the part.

Both Shreve Machine and Tech Tool share a mission of providing high-quality parts in a timely manner.

Fabrication

When it comes to the fabrication process, going from an idea to a finished product, we first meet with people and pinpoint what their unique needs are. We often ask for a diagram or picture of what they want to create. Then we talk budget and prepare a quote for them. After they give the OK, we start the project, making sure any part or machine performs to their specifications.

CNC Machining

CNC Machining, or Computer Numerical Control, is the automated control of machining tools by a computer. A CNC meets coded programmed instructions given to it by the person or CAD software behind the project. At Shreve Machine, we ask customers to bring a CAD file, either DXF or Bobcad, and we can download it to generate tool paths to give our machine the power to create certain parts, which are usually in steel, stainless steel or aluminum. CNC machining is an improvement over non-computerized machining in terms of producing an end product with greater efficiency .

Hydraulics

Our technicians offer hydraulic cylinder repair. On our 20-foot tear-down table with hydraulic nut-buster, we take apart and inspect the entire cylinder replacing and/or repairing any components necessary to get the cylinder in like-new condition. After the cylinder is assembled we test for leaks and insure it's working properly.

We also offer new hydraulic cylinders, valves and motors, as well as a large selection of fittings, and hoses. For customer convenience most hose products can be made while you wait.

Plunger Lift Products

A plunger lift system is an innovative method that is used to bring fluid to the surface, from the bottom of the well. A plunger is dropped down the well into the tubing string. Fluid then gathers on top of the plunger. Periodically, the tubing pressure is released allowing the plunger to push the fluid to the surface. The plunger then returns to its original position and repeats the cycle as needed. All of this is operated by an automated system mounted to the well head. Therefore, providing a cost effective way to produce the well to its economic depletion.
